Since the launch of number of social media marketing websites & medias, we have seen the evolution of Web 2.0, which have grown tremendously in past few years. Social media have changed the way people communicate across the world. Being a proud citizen of India, I was always curious about how this 2.0 version of worldwide web affect Indian Internet surfers.
It started of slowly, but gaining pace day by day . People are now constantly participating in social media websites like Technorati, Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Orkut & many more. They are haring their experiences, researches, knowledge & haloing social media across the world to grow. As India is having very large population, there is a great market for social media & businesses all over the world are getting attracted to Indian consumers.
Not just this, the businesses that are already established across country are also participating in social media market to involve their consumer & grow in this brand new buzz of social media. You might have recently seen Airtel launched its first ever App store for Indian consumers, Tata Docomo is participating mostly in online campaigning & engaging their users in social media like Facebook & twitter as they are giving away free Data usage over buddynet service.
Not just these but all the consumer electronics that are mostly shopped all over web are also promoted by the help of social media. Again a very new generation of bloggers & web entrepreneurs is taking birth across the social media of India.
Small businesses like Web Designing, Search engine optimization, Programmers & Freelancers are also cashing this opportunity of social media marketing in India.
Consumers in this case, are taking most out of the social media to choose the right service for their use as well as making no mistakes while investing even a penny online.
Not just consumers, but the service providers through social media markets gaining more number of consumers who are genuinely interested in buying the products & services online. So they are having profits from social media marketing as well.
And Eventually, It doesn’t matter businesses are promoting across social media are from Facebook ads or tweets from twitter, all that matters is quality of product & services which are offered are now having great quality as well as wide variety to choose from.
And that’s why Social media marketing is changing the businesses across India.

This goes to show that there’s always room for development. People now are taking action and are starting to involve themselves into the online world. Not to mention those who’re into BPO, call centers and things like that. One good thing about working online is, that wherever you are, whatever race you belong as long as you understand the basics of web 2.0 and some online jargon you’re good to go. Anyway, business wise this is certainly an opportunity for India and all other countries.
