Well , it has been found that many have quit installing wordpress or shifted to paid installation of wordpress only because they can not edit the configuration file of wordpress.
From my perspective, it is the easiest thing to do on earth. You don’t need to be a very trained webmasters for this . Very simple interfaces provided by your host these day have made it to easy to manage and host any website or a blog.
You just need to follow step by step this instruction guidelines to edit your My SQL database and config.php file.
Instructions:
Go to file manager on your host and edit the wp-config-sample.php as follows.
At your web host first create an MYSQL database note down its name, also note your password and SQL host.
Then go to your root folder in File manager and edit the config-sample.php file. You have to make some very easy changes in this file.
Change DB_name by your database name and other details as passwords and host in other lines. If you don’t know host, keep it as a default named localhost.
Save the above file and rename it by ‘config.php’
After this file is configured completely you can install your wordpress instantly by directing your domain to : www.yourname.com/wp-admin/install.php
So, This is how you have simply installed a wordpress on your host.
But I have suggestion for you that, try to do things, experiment on your host, try to do things differently. Nothing is gonna crash but only one things you gonna go through is learning. Without trying you have to do all things in paid options. And this is not feasible if you are going to choose blogging as your career.
In just one year of my experience I am trained such that I can install one blog per day continuously, and before a year I was same as you, a dumb new blogger.
